AIM:
To
familiarise those who have a sound working knowledge
of testing and inspection of electrical installations
to the requirements of BS 7671 and guidance note
3. The course is designed for electricians who have
a sound knowledge of the IEE 17th Edition regulations
(BS 7671) along with a working knowledge of inspection
and testing of electrical installations. Included
in the course fee is a 2 ½ hour written examination
set by City & Guilds Institute.
OBJECTIVES:
On completion of the course, the delegates will
be conversant with the layout of BS 7671 and its
7 parts and appendices. He/She will be able to carry
out inspection, testing and completion of the required
documentation meeting the requirements of 17th Edition
and guidance note 3.
COURSE
CONTENT:
• Concept
of duty holder and legal standing.
• Understanding of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
and On Site Guide.
• Understanding of the IEE guidance note 3 inspection
and testing.
• Inspection check list and requirements.
• Testing requirements and safe operation of test
instruments.
• Measurement of earth loop impedance and PFC.
• Documentation required.
• A one day practical assessment of competence.
