DURATION - 3 DAYS
AIM
To ensure that the individual, training and qualifications of First Aiders meets the required standard in accordance with the First Aid Regulations as stated and described by the Health and Safety Executive.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES - DAY 1
Sessions on:
- Principles & Priorities of First Aid
- Respiratory System
- Asphyxia/Hypoxia and Cardiac Arrest
- Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation and CPR
GENERAL OBJECTIVES - DAY 2
Sessions on:
- Unconscious Patient
- Control of Hemorrhage
- Treatment of burns and eye injuries
- Treatment of fracture and soft tissue injuries
GENERAL OBJECTIVES - DAY 3
Sessions on:
- Minor injuries
- Practical sessions from days one and two
On completion of training the participant will be able to:
- Identify and treat common minor injuries
- Carry out the pratical disciplines learned on days one and two
The Examination on Day 3 will consist of a Practical Assessment of their Skills & Knowledge on the following:

- Control of Hemorrhage
- Practical C.P.R - Adult, Child & Baby
- Oral Assessment Questions
