Introduction to PLC

To introduce candidates to PLC equipment, uses and operation.
This beginner’s course is designed to give you an awareness of what PLC’s do and how they work. You will be introduced to Ladder Diagram programming and PLC basics.
By the end of the course the learner will have a fuller understanding of how PLC’s work and their application in the workplace.
• Design and operate a very basic program for PLC including ladder diagram.
• Recognise hardware and competently replace modules.
• Use manufacturers and/or distributors literature to select a suitable PLC for a given specified system.
• Connect correctly, typical examples of input and output devices to a PLC.
This course leads to the five day intermediate course.
