Duration: 3 – 4 years
GCSE B/5 or above in Maths and English.
Or progression from Level 1 Study programme.
An interest in and knowledge about the chosen apprenticeship pathway should be demonstrated.
An apprenticeship job is required. You can find your own employer or KITS can help you with this.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering can cover apprenticeship roles in many areas of the industry.
Areas that can be covered are:
Designing Electronic Circuits
Controlling Semiconductor Manufacturing processes
Testing Electronic Circuits
Manufacturing Electrical Motors
Industrial Electrical Installation
The pathway chosen for your training is done in conjunction with your employer and is based specifically on the work you are doing in your Apprenticeship role in company.
Further Education such as Higher Apprenticeships or HNC / HND qualifications.

Electrical Engineering Technician
Electrical Design Engineer
Electronics Assembly Technician
Measurement and Control Technician
*Once you are qualified you could expect to earn between £18,OOO – £55,000 a year.
